Georgia beyond the obvious routes
URBEX EXPLORE
A program designed for travellers who want to experience a lesser-known side
of Georgia — abandoned sanatoriums, former industrial spaces, forgotten
infrastructure and locations that rarely appear on standard travel routes.
This is not a conventional sightseeing program. Urbex Explore focuses on
places with a distinct atmosphere, strong visual character and historical
context. Some locations may require additional preparation, local coordination
and a responsible approach to access, safety and current conditions.
The program is created for those who are interested not only in taking unusual
photographs, but also in understanding what these places reveal about
Georgia’s recent history, architecture and changing landscape.
What the program involves
Urbex — urban exploration — is the exploration of abandoned, disused or rarel
accessible sites, both in cities and beyond.
Within this program, we create individually prepared routes focused on
selected locations with strong architectural, historical or visual value. These
may include former spa buildings, sanatoriums, industrial areas, Soviet-era
infrastructure, abandoned public spaces or lesser-known sites connected with
Georgia’s 20th-century history.
Each journey is prepared with attention to logistics, access conditions, terrain,
safety, current regulations and the profile of the group. The aim is not to create
a risky or improvised experience, but a responsible, well-organised exploration
of places that require context, preparation and respect.
