How the journey is structured
This is an 8-day touring program of moderate intensity, designed for travellerswho want to discover western Georgia and Adjara at a more relaxed pace.the days combine exploration with moments of downtime — by the sea, in teagrowing areas, in nature or during slower walks. The program includes local landscapes, regional cuisine, selected natural sites and the atmosphere of Batumi, without filling every day from morning to evening.
Compared to more intensive touring routes, this journey allows more time to
rest and enjoy the surroundings. It is a good choice for travellers who want to
see a different side of Georgia — green, coastal and subtropical — in a
comfortable and well-organised format. Accommodation is arranged in carefully selected properties, and all transfers are provided by private vehicle with driver.
Day 1 Kutaisi and the First Taste of Western Georgia
Arrival in Kutaisi and the beginning of the journey. The program starts with arelaxed introduction to western Georgia, including a visit to a local market — alively place to discover regional products such as cheeses, spices, sweets, seasonal fruit and local specialities. This first day is intentionally slower-paced, giving travellers time to arrive, settle in and begin experiencing Georgia through its flavours, colours and
everyday atmosphere.
Day 2 Prometheus Cave, Martvili Canyon and Green Western Georgia
A nature-focused day in western Georgia. The program includes a visit to
Prometheus Cave, one of the region’s best-known natural attractions, with its impressive underground formations and, where available, a short boat section. The journey continues to Martvili Canyon for a walk and boat experience among limestone cliffs, clear water and lush vegetation. Depending on conditions, the day may also include off-road access to less visited viewpoints or natural areas nearby. This is a day rich in greenery, water landscapes and the softer natural character of western Georgia.
Day 3
Batumi, the Black Sea and Botanical Landscapes
Transfer to Batumi — Georgia’s main coastal city, known for its seaside
atmosphere, modern architecture and subtropical setting.
The program includes a visit to the Batumi Botanical Garden, beautifully located above the Black Sea, followed by a walk along the seaside boulevard. This is the first day with a clear focus on the coast, relaxation and a slower rhythm.
Day 4
Batumi and the Black Sea Experience
A more urban but still relaxed day in Batumi. The program may include a boat trip on the Black Sea, time to explore the city and a ride on the Argo cable car, offering panoramic views over Batumi, the coastline and the surrounding hills. There is also time for a walk through the city centre and lunch in a local setting. The day is designed to enjoy Batumi without pressure — combining sea views, city atmosphere and time to slow down.
Day 5
Tea Plantations and the Green Hills of Adjara
A day dedicated to one of the most distinctive elements of the region — tea.
The route leads along the coast and into tea-growing areas, where travellers can discover the history and role of tea in Georgia.
The program includes a visit to tea plantations, an introduction to local tea
traditions and a tasting. A picnic among green fields adds a simple, local and atmospheric element to the day.
Day 6 Tea Workshop and Time to Slow Down
A second day connected with Georgian tea, this time with a more hands-on and relaxed character. The program includes a workshop element, tea tasting and an introduction to preparation methods, allowing travellers to understand the process in a more personal way. The afternoon is left at a slower pace — with time for the beach, walking, independent exploration or rest. This day balances local experience with downtime, making the journey feel less rushed than a classic touring program.
Day 7
Vardzia, Khertvisi and Southern Georgia
A strong final contrast to the coastal and subtropical part of the journey. The
program leads towards southern Georgia and the rock-hewn city of Vardzia — one of the country’s most remarkable historical sites. Travellers walk through tunnels, chambers and passages carved into the rock,
discovering a place where history, landscape and architecture come together in a powerful way. The day also includes a visit to Khertvisi Fortress, one of Georgia’s oldest and most striking fortifications.
This is a more historical and landscape-focused day, adding depth and variety to the program before the journey ends.
