How the journey is structured

This program is designed for travellers who want to discover Georgia
comfortably, without worrying about planning, transfers or daily logistics.
Over 10 days, the route takes you through the country’s key regions — from
Kutaisi and southern Georgia to Tbilisi, Kakheti and the landscapes of David
Gareja. Each day is planned to include meaningful sightseeing, beautiful views, local food and enough time to enjoy the journey.
The itinerary is active, but not exhausting. You will see a lot, but the program avoids unnecessary rushing and overly packed days. Accommodation is
provided in carefully selected hotels or guesthouses of a good standard, and all transfers are arranged by private local transport with a driver.
It is a strong choice for travellers who want to experience Georgia properly —
comfortably, safely and with everything arranged in advance.

Day 1
Arrival in Kutaisi

Arrival in western Georgia and a gentle introduction to the rhythm of the
journey. The program includes visits to Bagrati Cathedral and Motsameta
Monastery, beautifully located above a river gorge. The day ends with a relaxed dinner in a local setting — a first encounter with Georgian hospitality, without haste.

Day 2
Akhaltsikhe, fortresses and Vardzia

One of the most varied days of the journey. We travel towards southern
Georgia, visiting Akhaltsikhe and Rabati Fortress, followed by Khertvisi Fortress and the cave complex of Vardzia — one of the country’s most distinctive historical sites. In the evening, transfer to Borjomi.

Day 3
Borjomi and surroundings

A day dedicated to one of Georgia’s best-known spa towns. The program
includes Borjomi Central Park, the cable car, selected historical sites, and
elements of local cuisine and wine. After an intensive journey through southern Georgia, this day offers a slower rhythm and space to unwind.

Day 4
Gori, Uplistsikhe, Mtskheta, Tbilisi

A journey towards central Georgia and the capital. Along the way, we visit Gori, the ancient rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe, and Mtskheta — Georgia’s former capital and one of the most important places in the history of Georgian Christianity. The program also includes Jvari Monastery, with its view over the confluence of two rivers. Arrival in Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 5
Tbilisi

A full day in the capital. The program covers both the city’s main landmarks andless obvious places that reveal its layered character. Walking routes,
architecture, history, local districts and time to understand Tbilisi not simply as a beautiful capital, but as a city shaped by many eras, influences and tensions.

Day 6
Kakheti — Sighnaghi, Bodbe and the First Encounter with Georgia’s Wine Region

Transfer to Kakheti, Georgia’s most important wine region. The program
includes Sighnaghi — a hilltop town overlooking the Alazani Valley — and
Bodbe Monastery, associated with St Nino. This day introduces the landscapes of eastern Georgia: vineyards, Caucasus views, local food and the warmer, more southern atmosphere of the region

Day 7
Deeper into Kakheti — Wineries, Local Cuisine and Georgian Wine

A second day in Kakheti allows us to go deeper into Georgia’s wine culture. The program may include a visit to a selected winery, a qvevri wine tasting, a meeting with local producers, a traditional meal, and places connected with the history of Georgian elites and wine culture, such as Tsinandali or the Telavi area. This is one of the most atmospheric days of the journey — landscapes, flavours and the story of wine as part of Georgian identity.

Day 8
David Gareja and return west

A shift in landscape and atmosphere. We travel towards the semi-desert area of Udabno and visit the David Gareja monastery complex — one of Georgia’s most remarkable sites, where history, spirituality and a raw landscape meet. After the visit, a longer transfer towards western Georgia.

Day 9
Tskaltubo and the Closing of the Journey

A day in the former spa town of Tskaltubo — a place that reveals a different
face of Georgia: the elegance of old sanatoriums, traces of Soviet architecture and the atmosphere of a town suspended between former glory and quiet decline. A calmer final day of the journey, ending with a farewell dinner in traditional Georgian style

Day 10
Final Purchases and Departure

Time for final purchases of local products, souvenirs, spices or wine. Transfer to the airport and the end of the journey.
